Next time you're "not sure how to play it."
Jun. 20, 2008 2:01 AM - [ post comment ]
I wasn't going to write anything here, but because this is such a simple thing and I'm always hearing about how I should be "giving value" lol, I thought I'd share this tip.

What happened recently was I got back into contact with a girl I knew in high school. Now, she was nice enough back in the day and even dated a few of my good buddies, but being the uber-chode I was, I was "just friends" with her. I don't blame her. In any case, I think I'm going to setup a day with her.

What I found though was, when I would imagine how things were going to go I would get weirded out. "Should I play it like I do with everyone else? Do I have to think about the fact we're "old friends"? Do I.. bla bla bla" and so on. Then I remembered, imagining is the enemy. So, what I do is I think back to the last time I was in a fun state hanging out with lair bros or my biological brother, or was having fun in whatever context and I bring that to the interaction with HighSchoolGirl. On the phone, on the meetup whenever and just realize that I don't actually know anything so whatever I'm thinking, it's just speculation and imagination until I actually talk to her. The best thing I can do is be in a good state.

The weird thing about thinking about how to calibrate to any one girl is, you can only do so much before hand. Take what you know about her and her type, do an Emotional Needs Profile using Frank B. Kermit's emotional needs model, and then stop thinking. I find that doing any more than that and you're not really calibrating, you're being submissive to her frame.

Anyways, hopefully this helps someone on here. Sarge on.
